Four Board Nanny McPhee Sequel
Maggie Gyllenhaal, Rhys Ifans, Maggie Smith and Asa Butterfield will star in Working Title's NANNY MCPHEE AND THE BIG BANG, per VARIETY.
Emma Thompson will reprise her role as the magical nanny, as well as writing the script and serving as exec producer. The sequel to the 2005 hit will center on a group of children who are evacuated to a farm during the war. Ralph Finnes is in talks to have an uncredited cameo.
Susanna White will make her feature debut directing the project, which should go into production this summer. Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan of Working Title are producing with Lindsay Doran and Debra Hayward and Liza Chasin are exec producing.
The property is based on the NURSE MATILDA children's books by author Christianna Brand.
