Unique Features, run by former New Line heads Michael Lynne and Bob Shaye, is producing a feature based on Maggie Stiefvater's supernatural romance SHIVER, reports VARIETY. Nick Pustay, who wrote the animated feature SCARECROW for Laika, will adapt the script.

The YA novel follows a girl who falls for a boy, who transforms into a wolf in the winter. A sequel, titled LINGER, is set to hit shelves in August.
