ABC has decided not to renew freshman sci-fi series FLASHFORWARD, reports VARIETY. The series began with strong ratings, but hit creative huddles during its run. The show ran through three sets of showrunners. Mark Guggenheim started as showrunner and when he left co-creator David Goyer took over. When he left that role in Feburary, Jessika Borsiczky, Lisa Zwerling and Tim Lea were brought in.

Based Robert J. Sawyer's novel, the series, created by Goyer and Brannon Braga, followed an FBI agent who has visions of the future and investigates a worldwide blackout.
