Paramount has tapped Chase Palmer to write a new draft of DUNE, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. FROM PARIS WITH LOVE helmer Pierre Morel is directing. Palmer's job will be to weave Morel's ideas into the script from Josh Zetumer. Morel wants to keep close to Frank Herbert's original book. Kevin Misher and Richard Rubinstein are the producers.

In 1984, Universal produced an adaptation, helmed by David Lynch. Then in 2000, SyFy launched a series of DUNE mini-series.
