DISTURBIA writer Carl Ellsworth has been hired to pen Columbia's adaptation of R.L. Stine's GOOSEBUMPS, reports Risky Business. Larry Karaszewski and Scott Alexander had previously written a GOOSEBUMP script.

Original Film's Neal Moritz and Scholastic Entertainment's Deborah Forte are the producers.

The popular franchise has already been adapted in video games, TV series, spin-off book series and straight-to-video features.
