CONTACT writer James V. Hart has been hired to write CHINESE ODYSSEY, a 3-D adventure for director Rob Minkoff, reports Variety. The story puts a hero on a high-seas adventure battling sea monsters and solving ancient mysteries.

Minkoff is producing with Pietro Ventani via their Tiger 62 Media. The China Film Group and Beijing Galloping Horse Film & TV are also producers. Filming will begin in China early in 2011.
