Asian actor/singer, Jay Chou, will replace Stephen Chow as Kato in THE GREEN HORNET. According to the HollywoodReporter Chou and Seth Rogen are confirmed to be the new crime-fighting team for Columbia’s THE GREEN HORNET, under Michel Gondry’s direction.

Chou, born in Taiwan, transitioned from singer to actor with a lead role in the 2005 comedy, INITIAL D. In 2006, he appeared in CURSE OF THE GOLDEN FLOWER, alongside Chow Yun-Fat and Gong Li.

"It's an overwhelming experience to take on a role made famous by Bruce Lee. I won't try to be Bruce Lee's Kato, I will try to bring my own interpretation to the part," Chou commented.

Gondry is directing THE GREEN HORNET from a screenplay by Rogen & Evan Goldberg. Produced by Neal H. Moritz, THE GREEN HORNET hits theaters summer 2010.

Jay Chou can be seen next in the Chinese film CI LING and the upcoming TRUE LEGEND.
