CBS Films has picked up feature rights to Marie Lu's forthcoming fantasy novel LEGEND, reports Variety. Temple Hill's Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey (TWILIGHT) will produce.

Set in an alternative North America where it is divided into two at-war countries, a young Robin Hood-type character is tapped to capture a teen genius and in the process uncover the truth about the countries' power-hungry leaders.

The first novel of a planned trilogy will hit shelves in November.

Maria Faillace and Ryan Conroy will shepherd the film.
