Carnahan Finding Mission Impossible

Paramount Pictures has confirmed that director Joe Carnahan has left the director's chair for its MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 3, reports VARIETY. The reason given was the Hollywood cliché of creative differences. However, Paramount is still determined to starting filming next month at Berlin's Babelsberg Studios.

Carnahan attracted the attention M:I star and producer Tom Cruise with his indie crime drama NARC, which Crusie's C/W Prods. brought to Paramount for distribution. The director, virtually put his career on hold for the project in February 2003 after David Fincher stepped down.

This move follows Paramount switching the film's release date from early May 2005 to June 29, 2005.
