Caprica Set for January
Syfy has set the date for CAPRICA, the spinoff of its critically lauded BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, as January 22, per VARIETY.
CAPRICA serves as a prequel to the BATTLESTAR story, which ended its fourth season this past March. The storyline predates BATTLESTAR by 58 years and stars Esai Morales, Eric Stoltz, Paula Malcomson and Polly Walker. The two-hour pilot was written by Ronald Moore and Remi Aubuchon and directed by Jeffrey Reiner. Syfy has ordered an additional 20 hours that could be split into two seasons. Production on the rest of the hours began July 15 in Vancouver under the direction of Jonas Pate.
CAPRICA will air every Friday night at 10 p.m.
