Fox Atomic has hired live-action AEON FLUX helmer Karyn Kusama to direct JUNO scribe Diablo Cody's humorous horror script, JENNIFER'S BODY, report the trades.

Alongside Mason Novick, Hard C partners Jason Reitman and Dan Dubiecki will produce the film for Fox Atomic, which picked up the spec script in October.

The story follows a Plain Jane who must kill her best friend, a cheerleader (Megan Fox, TRANSFORMERS), after the gorgeous pom-pom girl is possessed by a demon and goes on a murderous rampage. Afterward, the heroine must escape from a mental institution to find the Satan-worshipping heavy metal band that doomed her friend.
