Abrams and his Bad Robot is in talks to acquire Colum McCann's National Book Award-winning novel LET THE GREAT WORLD SPIN, which is based around Philippe Petit's tightrope walk across the Twin Towers in NYC, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. The story follows various characters, including an Irish monk who works with prostitutes, mourning mothers of Vietnam War soldiers killed in battle, and a 38-year-old grandmother and her teenage daughter. McCann's reps, The Gotham Group, will produce.
