ABC Adds Some Gravity to Summertime Viewing
ABC has picked up 13 episodes of Fox TV Studios' adventure drama GRAVITY, starring Ron Livingston, per THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.
The internationally-produced series takes place in the near future and is about eight astronauts from five countries who go on a mysterious six-year mission through the solar system.
The show will also air on Canada's CTV, Germany's ProSieben and the BBC. Creator and exec producer James Parriott was an exec producer on ABC's GREY'S ANATOMY and UGLY BETTY and exec producer Michael Edelstein was a former exec producer on DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES.
Besides Livingston, the cast includes Laura Harris, Christina Cox, Malik Yoba and Florentine Lahme. ABC will begin airing the series this summer.
Produced by FtvS, GRAVITY is a co-venture with Vancouver-based Omni Film Productions. Omni's Brian Hamilton and Michael Chechik are also exec producing.
