Former Universal executive David Ortiz has been hired by Vin Diesel to develop films at Diesel's One Race production house for a global audience, Variety reports.
Diesel and Ortiz worked together at Universal on the "Fast and Furious" franchise.
"David brings a fresh perspective to our slate," Diesel said. "We are looking to him to bring us projects that resonate with multicultural audiences domestically and abroad."
