VFX Vet Hodgson Dies

VARIETY reports that vfx vet Steven Hodgson has passed away on the set of Starz's CAMELOT on June 16th.

VARIETY reports that vfx vet Steven Hodgson has passed away on the set of Starz's CAMELOT on June 16th. The 50-year-old had been fighting cancer.

He won British Columbia's Leo Award for his work on the miniseries IMPACT. He received Gemini nominations for IMPACT and 2004's THE COLLECTOR. His other credits include CHARLIE ST. CLOUD, HOT TUB TIME MACHINE, THE UNINVITED and VANTAGE POINT.

Hodgson was born in Bellshill, Scotland and lived in Vancouver.

His wife, Patricia, two sons and two daughters and a brother survive him.

His funeral will take place in Cobham, Surrey, U.K. on July 1st with a Vancouver memorial service set for latter this summer. The family requests in lieu of flowers to make donations to the BC Cancer Foundation — bccancerfoundation.com/cms/page1133.cfm.
