VFX Studio Radium Hires Four

Digital visual effects studio Radium welcomes four new staff members: CG supervisor Aladino V. Debert, senior computer artist Mary Beth Haggerty, inferno artist Scott Rader and CG artist Erik Shepherd. Haggerty and Shepherd will be based in the San Francisco location, while Debert and Rader will join the Los Angeles office. A native of Argentina where he attended the School of Architecture at the Buenos Aires University, Aladino V. Debert's past work includes three years as a Senior Animator at Metrolight Studios and most recently as CG and animation supervisor with Santa Monica-based visual effects house Digital Art Media. Mary Beth Haggerty joined Radium in 2002 after working at ILM as a computer graphics supervisor. During her tenure at ILM, she led the computer graphics team on the Clio award-winning First Union campaigns. Other commercial projects include spots for Best Buy, Budweiser, Pontiac and an HD campaign for XM satellite radio, as well as such feature films as STAR WARS: EPISODE 2 - ATTACK OF THE CLONES, MEN IN BLACK, MARS ATTACKS!, SPAWN and TWISTER. Scott Rader comes to Radium with over 20 years of experience as a digital artist, producer, editor, manager and facilities designer. He has produced network and live television content, and has worked in the post-production of television, commercials and features. Prior to joining Radium, Rader was a digital effects supervisor for Digital Domain where he spent five years supervising the creation and design of visual effects for commercials, feature films and television series. Finally, Erik Shepherd first started working with Radium in February 2002 on a freelance basis as lead animator, contributing to such TV projects as ANGEL and BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER. Prior to Radium, Shepherd enjoyed a brief tenure at Ring of Fire freelancing on several effects-heavy commercial projects for K Mart and AT&T. From 2000-2001, he worked on staff at Digital Art Media as an animator and Maya artist on high-profile feature films including LITTLE NICKY, SPY KIDS, DR. DOLITTLE 2 and DUNGEONS & DRAGONS. Radium has offices in Santa Monica and San Francisco, California. The company provides visual effects and CG animation for a wide variety of media including music videos, feature films and commercials.
