VFX Artist/Editor Robert Lopuski Joins UVPHACTORY

In a continuation of their recent expansion, New York-based design and production company UVPHACTORY has added editor/vfx artist Robert Lopuski to its staff roster.

Robert reflects the creative vibe of this place and is a logical extension of our continued growth. He has the UVPHACTORY sensibility creativity, savvy and humor and he is a natural at what he does, technically and creatively, explained co-founder Scott Sindorf.

We were looking for an editor who was technically astute and would also add creatively and socially to our design collective, someone who, like all of our team, had the talent to perform numerous design functions. Robert is a wonderful editor and visual effects artist, and has a great directorial eye as well. He is a great fit for our company, added co-founder Damijan Saccio.

Prior to joining UVPHACTORY, Lopuski spent the last few years (2003-2004) as a freelancer for a number of New York City-based post houses and agencies. At Kraftworks Ltd., he functioned as the ad agencys in-house editor/vfx artist for their corporate clients cutting and creating effects for spots, portfolios and promos. At Swete Post, he served as editor/vfx artist/telecine artist/post supervisor on numerous commercial and broadcast projects for clients, including Hanes, Playtex, Aldo Shoes, among others.

At the production company Hot Butter Thru Knife, Lopuski was co-editor/post supervisor on the multi-channel documentary feature 60 CAMERAS AGAINST THE WAR, which is currently being screened at the Whitney Museum of American Art. At R!OT Manhattan, he was a junior visual effects artist concentrating on commercial projects for an extremely diverse group of clients and projects.

Through Forgotten Sunday (New York, NY), his own production company, Lopuski recently completed a 25-minute short film, PAPER TIGERS, for which he was the writer, producer, director, editor and visual effects artist. This film will be making the rounds of the festival circuit later this year.

On his joining the UVPHACTORY family, Lopuski explained, I completed one freelance project for UVPHACTORY and really liked the atmosphere and the creativity of the team. When they offered me the position, I thought it would be challenging and very interesting to work daily with this very talented, hungry, young group of guys. The boundaries that I like to push creatively are the same ones UVPHACTORY pushes for its clients. Seemed like a perfect fit.

Lopuski has recently completed several jobs under the UVPHACTORY banner, including a four-spot campaign for Swatch, a TV On The Radio music video and work on the launch of an as yet unannounced cable channel.

Lopuski joins a UVPHACTORY creative team that includes creative director Alexandre Moors, senior producer Brian Welsh, senior designer/3D animator/compositor Jake Slutsky, lead character animator Ryan Bradley, designer/3D animator/compositor Bashir Hamid, compositor/designer Colin Hess and production assistant Melissa Sarno, all of whom are represented in-house by Brian Welsh.

UVPHACTORY (www.uvphactory.com) is a New York-based design and production company offering a complete range of creative services including conceptualization, live-action direction and production, editorial, 2D/3D animation, sound composition/design and final compositing for broadcast, commercial, film, music video and web clients.
