Nina Dobrev (THE VAMPIRE DIARIES) has boarded MPCA's actioner DEATHGAMES, reports HEAT VISION. She joins fellow cast members Kellan Lutz, Samuel L. Jackson, Daniel Dae Kim, James Remar and Derek Mears.
The plot follows a young man (Lutz) forced into a to-the-death gladiator match, which is broadcast online. Dobrev takes the role of Lutz's wife.
The film is being directed by visual effects supervisor Jonah Loop. MPCA's Brad Krevoy and Mike Callaghan, and Mark Williams are the producers.
Filming has begun in Louisiana.
