V12 and Panopoly Pictures are merging their respective design and production departments to form Full Circle, a the new company that will provide live-action production, branding motion graphic design and animation to clients in the feature film, commercial and broadcast arenas. Leading the joint venture are V12 founder David Hwang and Panopoly Pictures co-founder Kathryn Peaslee.

Hwang, who first met Peaslee when he entered the business, claims the collaboration is a natural evolution. She was the first person who showed me that type could move around the screen and that there was such a thing as motion graphic design, says Hwang, who started in the print realm as a designer and illustrator. Working together is a long time in the making and is going to be great. Panopoly is the best entertainment marketing company in the business and this new venture allows both of our creative teams to reach farther and higher on behalf of our clients.

This exciting combination of award-winning designer/directors from the television, film and commercial disciplines will combine to create a talent pool which will deliver more creative firepower for our existing and new clients, said Peaslee. I am thrilled to collaborate with David and his team, and think this is the natural next step for all of us.

CEO Hwang heads a formidable team of creatives in formulating memorable brand visuals for a range of products and companies. An internationally recognized designer and director, has garnered numerous awards including accolades from the American Institute of Graphic Design, COMMUNICATION ARTS, ID MAGAZINE, AICP and BDA. Hwang started his professional career as an editorial illustrator. He segued from print to motion media as a designer at ABC Networks On-Air Promotion department. Looking to create his own entity, Hwang launched Two Headed Monster, a design/production/post boutique, later he formed Helicopter, which via an initial relationship with Virgin became V12 in 1998.

CCO Peaslee has more than 15 years experience in all facets of broadcast design and special effects. Exec creative director David Sparrgroves interest and talent for blending cutting-edge technology with the latest design trends inspired breaking new ground with desktop video. Sparrgrove continues to push the envelope of melding art and technology for a variety of high profile and diverse clients including GSN, X Games and NBA. Sparrgroves career began at Pittard Sullivan in Los Angeles, where he designed graphic packages for CBS network television. As one of the youngest designers in the industry at the time, his hip stylized work landed him at a start-up cable network, E! Entertainment Television. His tenure at E! has garnered him numerous awards.

Jennifer Lucero started her career in 1993 at Hwangs Two Headed Monster. Partial credits include a series for the public television documentary, THE HUMAN QUEST, commercials for Y&R, Fallon, FCB, Saatchi & Saatchi, McCann-Erickson and DDB, as well as broadcast projects for ESPN, HBO, Cartoon Network and ProSieben TV/Germany. Lucero departed THM with Hwang and Sparrgrove for a short stint at Helicopter and then followed them to V12 in 1998 as part of its founding staff. As exec producer of Full Circle, she will oversee all projects and run the day-to-day management of the company.

Full Circle also includes V12 exec creative director David Sparrgrove, exec producer Jen Lucero, and exec producer of live-action production Bill Hewes, whose extensive commercial background includes exec producer roles at Barking Weasel, 1/33 Productions, and Lucka Films. It is also comprised of a core creative design team and directors from both V12 and Panopoly Design. Eschewing the typical freelance-based structure, the company will center on a core creative team.
