V-Ray Celebrates its 10th Anniversary

A few hundred Chaos Group friends gathered together at Smog Shoppe to celebrate V-Ray’s 10th Anniversary

Los Angeles, CA -- A few hundred Chaos Group friends gathered together at Smog Shoppe to celebrate V-Ray’s 10th Anniversary.  The evening began with a retrospective of V-Ray work provided by Stash Magazine, the story of how Peter Mitev and Vladimir Koylazov founded the company, and the announcement of two new products - V-Ray for Nuke and V-Ray for Katana. 

Event sponsors, The Foundry, NVIDIA, and Fox Renderfarm shared their latest developments, followed by a showcase of award-winning work by customers Digital Domain, Pixomondo,COPA, a52, and Blur.  

Next, the winners of CGSociety’s V-Ray Anniversary Challenge were revealed, and the first big surprise of the evening occurred when the V-Ray All Stars were called on stage and awarded a GOLDEN DONGLE containing a lifetime license of all Chaos Group products.

The V-Ray All Stars shared a surprise of their own, playing a video they created to commemorate V-Ray’s 10th Anniversary called V-Ray in Real Life. 

“It’s an honor to be part of this great community and celebrate V-Ray’s anniversary with so many of our friends here in LA,” said Peter Mitev, CEO of Chaos Group. “Over the past decade, some members of the V-Ray community have gone above and beyond, sharing their passion and ideas and making significant contributions to the development of V-Ray. We are grateful and proud to recognize Christopher Nichols, Daniel Buck, Dmitry Vinnik, Greg Tsadilas, Kevin Margo, Paul Ghezzo, Robert Nederhorst ,Scott Metzger and Paul Oblomov as V-Ray All-Stars.
