Universal has inked a deal with SEE Virtual Worlds to bring its bevy of classic monsters to a massively multiplayer online game, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Universal has inked a deal with SEE Virtual Worlds to bring its bevy of classic monsters to a massively multiplayer online game, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The MMOG would put players in the role of a monster hunter striking out against Frankenstein, the Wolf Man, Dracula, the Mummy, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Phantom of the Opera, Invisible Man and Creature from the Black Lagoon. The game will launch next year.

UNIVERSAL MONSTERS will be part of MindArk's Entropia Universe. The game will be free with players purchasing virtual objects.
