Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who starred in the short-lived J.J. Abrams' series UNDERCOVERS, has joined the cast of ODD THOMAS, reports Variety.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who starred in the short-lived J.J. Abrams' series UNDERCOVERS, has joined the cast of ODD THOMAS, reports Variety. She will play Viola, a waitress at the diner where Odd Thomas (Anton Yelchin) works as short-order cook. The character is raising two orphan kids and is best friends with Odd Thomas' girlfriend (Addison Timlin). The cast also includes Willem Dafoe, Nico Tortorella and Patton Oswalt.
Stephen Sommers wrote and will direct the adaptation of Dean Koontz's bestselling book. He will produce with Fusion Films heads John Baldecchi and Howard Kaplan.
