UK Survey Targets Industry Training

The UK’s Creative Skillset training body issues a call to employers and professionals across VFX, animation, film, TV, computer games and interactive media to register now for its next industry survey, taking place October 14-20.

Industry input into where funding should be targeted is vitally important, is the message from skills and training body, Creative Skillset.

Creative Skillset is the UK’s licensed Sector Skills Council for entertainment media, fashion and textiles, publishing and advertising, marketing and communications. The group is calling to employers and professionals across VFX, animation, film, TV, computer games and interactive media to register now for its next industry survey, taking place October 14-20.

"We urge employers and professionals to register and give their views in the imminent October panel. These short online surveys really do feed into our work by identifying priorities that are then reflected into funding streams,” said Dan Simmons, Head of Film at Creative Skillset. “The Skills Investment Fund (SIF) will see the Government co-invest up to £16m to match industries, leading to a total of £32m over two years. Working closely with industry is therefore imperative to shaping our future strategies, and it is vital that our panels are fully representative of the film, VFX, animation and TV industries.”

The forthcoming survey will focus on future trends of the Creative Industries, including skills needs, technological advancements and investment opportunities.
