TV-Loonland has appointed Irina Ignatiew as sales manager for TV and home entertainment in the German-speaking territories (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) in order to grow its internationally successful distribution activities. In her new position, Irina Ignatiew will report directly to the TV-Loonland managing board in Munich. Ignatiews responsibilities include the sales and distribution of TV-Loonland programs throughout the German-speaking world.

Ignatiew has been working in international film and TV licensing for seven years. Until recently, she ran the international sales department of Tandem Communications GmbH in Munich, where she established and expanded the companys international TV licensing operations and marketing activities.
Prior to that, she had worked four years at Lions Gate Ent. in Los Angeles, where she sold all rights (film, video and TV) to Europe and other regions. The polyglot communications graduate started her career at cable TV station Kabel 1, where she was in charge of the online/new media unit.
