TV-Loonland Shows Rock Asia with TV Placements for Key Brands

Press Release from TV-Loonland

TV-Loonland has inked various deals with high profile TV broadcasters in Asia. LEON (52 x 3 Minutes), multi-formatted property PAT & STAN (39 x 7 Minutes, A 30-minute Special and 350 Shorts) and RAYMOND (78 x 7 Minutes) have all found new TV homes and are set for launch across the Asian continent this coming Autumn.

In the Land of the Rising Sun, Disney Japan has secured TV rights for the much sought after and truly unique LEON and Cartoon Network Japan has added quirky comedy series RAYMOND to its programming line-up.

Furthermore, all formats of hilarious comedy duo, PAT & STAN have been licensed to Nickelodeon Asia for the region. Following close on the heels of recent acquisition by Cartoon Network Korea, EBS have snatched-up the rights for terrestrial broadcast in South Korea with ongoing discussions for DVD rights with a key partner already well underway. The brand new 39 x 7-minutes series is now fully delivered and already lined-up for launch on TV-screens this Autumn in more than 170 territories worldwide.

Additional deals closed this summer include ATV Hong Kong taking on the LITTLE PRINCESS Seasonal Specials for Autumn and Winter and Well Go USA taking Pay TV rights for RAINBOW FISH in Taiwan.

TV-Loonland Head of International Distribution, Justine Bannister notes that: "Amongst the most elusive of markets for European animation, we are especially proud that our shows will be enjoyed by kids (and adults) in Asian countries. These acquisitions are testimony once again to the quality and universal appeal of our programming line-up. As with other territories worldwide, the quality and reach of these particular TV placements for our shows will be absolutely key in ensuring their longevity in Asia. From these initial deals we are already in discussion to secure DVD and Licensing partners in the coming months."
