TV-Loonland Expands Into Russia

TV-Loonland has signed aseven-year licensing agreement with Russia's Nox Music, providing theMoscow-based company with video, television and merchandising rightsto 963 half-hour series episodes. The new agreement applies to theterritories of CIS/Russia, the Ukraine and the Baltic States ofLatvia, Lithuania and Estonia, and involved productions fromTV-Loonland's own studios as well as subsidiaries SunbowEntertainment and Telemagination. Nox was founded by IosifPrigozhin, who also founded ORT-Records and ORT-Videos. ORT is theleading Pan-Russian TV station. According to TV-Loonland CEO PeterVolkle, "Nox Music is an exceptionally successful and vibrant companyin Russia, which constitutes a vast market that is just now beginningto develop. We are happy to have found such an outstanding partnerin this attractive territory, which we are entering with our programsfor the very first time."
