Turner European Ent. Undergoes Reorganization

Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) Europe has shuffled about its organization to support emerging areas in its business mix and grow its entertainment brands starting with naming Dee Forbes vp/gm of TBS UK and Ireland, responsible for all commercial and channel activities plus its operating units: distribution sales, ad sales and S&P, programming and acquisitions, marketing, PR, creative services, presentation, research, strategy and consumer products.

Our objective with these changes is to create a rational, responsive structure to support every department in the organization, said Nan Richards, president of TBS Europe Ltd. Given the quality of this leadership team and the continued outstanding performance within each group and region, I am confident that the transition to this new operating model will be seamless and will allow us to continue to innovate and achieve aggressive growth.

Forbes relinquishes her role as svp of European Ad Sales and each countrys ad sales head will report into his or her respective country manager. Simon Cox will continue is his role as vp of UK Ad Sales and S&P and will serve as ad sales point person for pan-regional issues.

Tina McCann, svp/gm of Turner Ent. Networks Broadcast Operations and France, Italy and Spain will continue her role and add formal oversight of ad sales and S&P and programming and acquisitions for her regions. She will continue to oversee distribution sales, marketing, PR, creative services, presentation, research, strategy and Cartoon Network Enterprises. In addition to her commercial and channel responsibilities, McCann will continue to oversee all of Turner Ent. Networks' Broadcast Operations across Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EMEA).

Michael Riley moves up to svp/gm of TBS Central and Eastern Europe/Nordic/Germany, the Middle East and Africa. He has spent the last two years in Turners Paris office and returns to London where his responsibilities will mirror those of Forbes and McCanns with full accountability for this region's P&L, responsible for all distribution sales, ad sales and S&P, programming and acquisitions, marketing, PR, creative services, presentation, research, strategy and Cartoon Network Enterprises. A new vp/gm of TBS France will be announced shortly.

Forbes, McCann and Riley report directly to Richards and will also continue to have a reporting line to Jeff Kupsky, evp of TBS Europe for distribution and strategy.

Finn Arnesen assumes the role of svp/gm for Original Animation EMEA and TBS International Development. He will continue to represent all of TBS Intl on the global Greenlight Committee for Cartoon Network Originals and liaise with the companys Asian and Latin American channel heads to develop impactful and popular new content. In this pan-regional role, Arnesen is charged with increasing original content in the region by developing more wholly owned and co-produced content. Additionally, he will play a key role in the distribution of Turners original content to third parties throughout EMEA.

Arnesen reports directly to Richards for EMEA. With regard to his international development role, he reports to Juan Carlos Urdaneta, president of TBS Latin America; Steve Marcopoto, president of TBS Asia; and Richards.

Casey Harwood is promoted to svp/gm of Interactive/Wireless and Commercial Distribution EMEA. He will continue with his pan-regional interactive role and take on wireless responsibilities for EMEA, replacing Mitch Lazar who is leaving to pursue new opportunities.
