Turbo Squid Surpasses 100,000 3D Products

Turbo Squid, which touts the largest collection of royalty-free 3D products available for download, announced that the 100,000th 3D product has been posted for sale.

The 3D product, a low-polygon parking meter in .max and .3ds formats, was created and posted by Turbo Squid member Kevin Garrow and is available for $20. Garrow is the lead 3D artist at GG Graphics, an established visual design company based in Fife, Scotland. GG Graphics provides CAD and 3D solutions to architectural, product design, interior design and related industries. Garrow specializes in providing low-poly 3D content for game developers and other real-time 3D applications.

Garrow is one of more than 8,100 3D artists from around the globe who upload 3D products to the Turbo Squid site for customers to purchase and use in game development, film and video, design visualization, military, corporate, and biomedical applications. Garrow is a top rated artist and a Turbo Squid member since August 2003.

"Turbo Squid has been an extremely valuable resource for us, providing us with access to buyers and providing an excellent shop window for our 3d models," said Garrow.

Dan Lion, vp of sales and marketing for Turbo Squid, presented an Apple iPod mini to Garrow to celebrate the milestone. Turbo Squid will also feature Garrow's work in its weekly newsletter.
