Turbo Squid, the exclusive publisher and worldwide distributor of the Discreet Certified 3ds max Plug-in Program, announced the release of Turbo Toolkit, a suite of eight Discreet Certified 3ds max Plug-ins. Separately the products sell for nearly $4,000, but the Turbo Toolkit will sell for $1,695 until August 31, 2003. Included in the bundle are finalRender, Stage-1, AfterBurn3, DreamScape2, HumanIK, Kaldera, ACT 1.6 PRO, finalToon and Texture Layers.
"To celebrate Turbo Squid's third anniversary, we wanted to offer our customers a unique opportunity," said Dan Lion, vp of sales and marketing at Turbo Squid. "The Turbo Toolkit is just that eight premium tools for a fraction of their individual prices."
finalRender, Stage-1, from cebas Computer GmbH, is a new 64-bit ready rendering solution with unlimited network rendering, 10 CPU distributed rendering, global illumination, true 3d motion blur, Sub-Surface Scattering and nine camera types to name just a few of the many features. AfterBurn3, from Sitni Sati, is the particle effects solution that enables rendering of realistic effects ranging from clouds, pyroclastic smoke, dust, and explosions, to liquid metals, water and various procedurally defined "solid" objects. DreamScape2, from Sitni Sati, is a suite of modeling and animation tools for building complete environments including landscapes, realistic skies and bodies of water.
HumanIK, from Kaydara, is a set of character animation and rigging tools. Kaldera, from Mankua, is a plug-in that lets users render full scene information into special texture maps based on an object's appearance and relationship between itself and other objects in the scene. ACT 1.6 PRO, from cgCharacter, is a muscle and skin system that enables animators to create character animation with ease and speed. finalToon, from cebas Computer GmbH, is a cartoon renderer and a technical illustrator. Texture Layers, from Mankua, is a mapping and texturing suite composed of two different 3ds max plug-ins -- an "all-in-one" UVW Mapping layering tool and a Compositor Map material for material blending between mapping layers.
