While it's only a month into its second season, TRUE BLOOD has been picked up for a third by HBO, VARIETY reports. The vampire series based on Charlaine Harris's bestselling book series and adapted to TV by Alan Ball has been a breakthrough hit for the cable net. Viewership has only increased for the series from episode to episode and its dedicated fanbase only grows. The series is exec produced by Ball and Gregg Fienberg. The third season is set to return in June 2010.
