A Tribute To Gene DeitchHollywood, California, USAFebruary 10, 2004
ASIFA-Hollywood and The American Cinematheque will be hosting a tribute to Oscar-winning animation director Gene Deitch. Animation historian and producer Jerry Beck will be hosting the event, which Deitch will be attending. Some of the films and TV shows screened will include MUNRO, TOM TERIFFIC, SIDNEY, FLEBUS, NUDNICK and many others, including a sneak peak at his latest animated collaboration with Jules Feiffer. Deitch will be receiving the Winsor McCay award at the Annie Awards on Feb. 7, 2004.
The event will start at 7:30 pm at the Egyptian Theatre, 6712 Hollywood Blvd. Hollywood, CA. Admission is $9 for the general public and $7 for ASIFA-Hollywood members.
