Tribune Promotes L. Clark Morehouse & Marc S. Schacher

Tribune Broadcasting, a division of Tribune Co. has promoted L. Clark Morehouse III to evp/gm of Tribune Ent. Co. (TEC), Tribune's Los Angeles-based television programming and distribution business. Additionally, Marc S. Schacher was named svp/programming and development of Tribune Broadcasting.

Morehouse will oversee all aspects of Tribune Ent. operations, including sales. He joined TEC as svp/advertising sales in 2000.

"Clark is a solid leader and well connected in the advertising and television industries," said John Reardon, Tribune Broadcasting president. "His strong sales orientation and management skills will serve Tribune Ent. well as we work to accelerate revenue growth."

Schacher joined Tribune in 1979 and, since 1995, has served as vp/programming and development. He'll continue to be responsible for meeting the common programming needs of the Tribune television group, which includes negotiating with syndicators and distributors for specific program acquisitions and packages.

"Marc's terrific instincts in the programming field have been a great benefit to our local stations over the years," Reardon said. "Most recently, he was instrumental in our acquisition of off-net syndication rights to the hit sitcoms, TWO AND A HALF MEN and FAMILY GUY, which will each join our lineups in fall 2007."

Tribune Broadcasting owns and operates 26 television stations concentrated in major U.S. markets and Superstation WGN on national cable. The group's combined reach is more than 80% of U.S. television households. Tribune Broadcasting (www.tribune.com) also includes Los Angeles-based Tribune Ent., a developer/distributor of first-run television programming for the Tribune station group and for national syndication; Chicago's WGN-AM; and the Chicago Cubs baseball team. Investment interests include Comcast SportsNet Chicago (25% owned) and TV Food Network (31%).
