Cake Distribution has licensed TOTAL DRAMA ISLAND to CANAL + Family, France, Jetix Benelux, Noga Israel, Digiturk Turkey, Salmon Russia and Diema of Bulgaria for 2008-2009 broadcast.
As well as the on-air success of TOTAL DRAMA ISLAND, the online world of TOTAL DRAMA ISLAND has drawn in 80 percent of the large numbers of the on-air audience to subscribe to a play on www.totaldramaisland.com and compete in 26 episode specific online games with their own avatar. The website is being localized into various languages to synchronise with the local broadcast schedules. The outstanding quality of these elements was recognized with an Interactive Emmy nomination 2007.
