Toei Signs Deal With Cartoon Network For Pretty Cure Series

Toei Animation, Inc. announced a TV broadcast licensing agreement with Turner Entertainment Networks Asia, Inc. today, to air 49 episodes of the Pretty Cure series, which is set to premiere later this year on Cartoon Network in Australia and New Zealand.

LOS ANGELES (August 11, 2010) – Toei Animation, Inc. announced a TV broadcast licensing agreement with Turner Entertainment Networks Asia, Inc. today, to air 49 episodes of the Pretty Cure series, which is set to premiere later this year on Cartoon Network in Australia and New Zealand. The announcement was made by Kanji Kazahaya, President and COO of Toei Animation.

Pretty Cure follows the adventures of two ordinary girls, Natalie Blackstone and Hannah Whitehouse, as they encounter mysterious creatures from “The Garden of Light”, and are chosen as the legendary warriors known as “Pretty Cure”. Together they must battle an evil force called the “Dark Zone” and save the day.

“Pretty Cure is filled with original and dynamic characters, great storylines and non-stop adventure that is sure to provide hours of entertainment for kids in this vital market,” said Kazahaya.
