Toei Animation Launches Remastered Versions of ‘Dragon Ball Z’ and ‘Saint Seiya’ in Latin America

‘Dragon Ball Z’ licensed to Corporacion Ecuatoriana de TV.S.A. in Ecuador and Televisora Nicaraguense S.A. Canal 8 in Nicaragua; Saint Seiya sold to Televisora Nicaraguense S.A. Canal 8 in Nicaragua.

LOS ANGELES -- Toei Animation Inc. has launched distribution of the eagerly anticipated re-mastered versions of the studio’s renowned television animated series Dragon Ball Z and Saint Seiya in Latin America, with both Ecuador and Nicaragua snapping up the newly-remastered Dragon Ball Z and Nicaragua licensing Saint Seiya.

Corporacion Ecuatoriana de TV.S.A. in Ecuador and Televisora Nicaraguense S.A. Canal 8 in Nicaragua have licensed Dragon Ball Z, while Nicaragua, Televisora Nicaraguense S.A. Canal 8 will debut all 114 episodes of the remastered Saint Seiya.

The two Latin American deals for the remastered version of the venerable series come on the heels of the start of NATPE, where Toei Animation will continue to showcase the series that boasts vivid color for high definition broadcast.  

“We are excited to unveil the remastered versions of Dragon Ball Z and Saint Seiya to Latin American broadcasters and programmers worldwide at NATPE.  The remastered versions of the two series are certain to attract new generations of fans with their bold new look,” said Masayuki Endo, President of Toei Animation Inc.
