Toei Animation to Introduce ‘Sailor Moon Crystal’ at Brand Licensing Europe 2014

Toei Animation heads to Brand Licensing Europe 2014 to introduce ‘Sailor Moon Crystal,’ the reboot of the classic franchise.

Paris, France -- Toei Animation is gearing to exhibit at Brand Licensing Europe 2014 with the introduction of Sailor Moon Crystal and Petz Club, alongside a roster of classic properties under its stewardship.

Sailor Moon Crystal is Toei Animation’s re-boot of the classic franchise first introduced in 1992. A modern re-imagining of the original manga by famed creator Naoko Takeuchi, Sailor Moon: Crystal goes back to the beginning of eighth grader Usagi Tsukino’s transformation into the titular heroine, Sailor Moon. Along with her magical black cat, Luna, Usagi embarks on a mission to find her fellow Guardians, while uncovering the secrets behind the Legendary Silver Crystal. Featuring updated  artwork, music and storylines, Sailor Moon Crystal will bring aboard new fans while delighting those who grew up with the original series.

Petz Club is a new series dedicated to 5-8 year old kids which was successfully launched this summer on the French channel, France 5. The series follows Nina, Oscar, Tim and their dog, Marlou, who created the Petz Club to find pets lost by children. Each investigation of the Petz Club leads our little detectives and the viewers alike to discover and understand the behavior of different pets. Toei Animation Europe handles the merchandising rights of the series in France.

Sailor Moon has a legacy spanning nearly thirty years, while Petz Club is an immediately identifiable series with ever-increasing acclaim.” said Ryuji Kochi, Managing Director of Toei Animation Europe. “We are excited to develop new relationships with the world’s top licensors while continuing ongoing associations.”

Toei Animation will be exhibiting at Brand Licensing Europe (October 7-9th at Olympia, London): booth G030.
