London, UK -- Komixx Entertainment has signed four more international broadcasters for its chart-topping kids’ show, Toby’s Travelling Circus, through show distributor Union Media.

Following on from a successful showing at Kidscreen, and recent sales to Finland and Israel, Komixx has now signed an additional four networks: NRK (Norway); MediaCorp (Singapore); ABC TV (Australia) and S4C (Wales). They join public service Finnish broadcaster, Yle, and Hop TV in Israel who have also picked up all 52 episodes of the animated property, taking Toby across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australasia. Broadcast schedules vary but the animation series is due to air later this year in some regions.

Australian network provider, ABC TV, has also secured the DVD and Digital rights for their home entertainment market.

Andrew Cole-Bulgin, Joint CEO and Head of Film & TV, Komixx Entertainment, said: “Toby’s Travelling Circus is proving to be hugely popular both in the UK and around the world. We’ve always maintained that the writing and characters in the series would have global appeal by offering something stand out and innovative, and above all, fun in a crowded entertainment marketplace. These latest deals mean we continue to bring Toby and his friends to an even wider international audience.”

Adam Selly, founder, Union Media, said: “The significant interest in Toby is in large measure due to the real quality of the series and its production values, which appeals to both parents and kids.  It’s clear that despite difficult market conditions in many regions the quality of the series simply shines through.”
