LOS ANGELES -- As part of its 2013 Short Film Program, the American Cinematheque will be hosting the Titmouse 5 Second Animation Day on Friday, February 15, at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood.

Titmouse Inc. started in New York as a T-shirt company until founders Chris & Shannon Prynoski discovered that their promotional cartoons were more popular than their clothing line. More than a decade later, the animation studio is bicoastal, with more than 200 staffers producing such programs as Disney XD’s Motorcity and Randy Cunningham 9th Grade Ninja, and Adult Swim’s The Venture Bros., Superjail, China, IL, Metalocalypse and Black Dynamite.

5 Second Day is an annual tradition that gives Titmouse animators the chance to bring to life whatever strange/beautiful/disturbing/funny ideas they've had all year as a short format cartoon. For the first time ever, the studio opens up the screening of these masterpieces to friends, neighbors and fans.

Join the American Cinematheque for this crazed cartoon cornucopia, which will also include a screening of the unaired Motorcity pilot and a selection of rarities from the studio’s vaults.

Friday, February 15

7:30pm Egyptian Theatre 6712 Hollywood Boulevard Hollywood, CA 90028

Discussion following with Titmouse founder Chris Prynoski. This screening is free to all current American Cinematheque Members, with regular pricing for non-Members.
