The British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced the winners of its fourth annual interactive entertainment awards. Peppers Ghost Productions TINY PLANETS ONLINE (Publisher: Sesame Workshop) took home the award for Best Entertainment Website. The Website features the characters Bing and Bong and provides a range of animation, activities and interaction for young children. Disney Interactives TIGGERS HONEY HUNT CD-ROM (Developer: Doki Denki) won in the Childrens category. In the game categories, TONY HAWK'S PRO SKATER 2 for Game Boy Advance (Developer: Vicarious Visions; Publisher: Activision) won the award for Best Mobile Game. Best Moving Images and Best Interactivity awards went to BLACK AND WHITE (Developer: Lionhead Studios Ltd; Publisher: Electronic Arts), a game where the player enacts the role of a god who must gain the trust of the inhabitants of a beautiful, interactive world, through either good or bad deeds. PHANTASY STAR ONLINE (Developer: Sonicteam; Publisher: Sega Europe Ltd) won for Best Networked Game. Best PC Game went to Take 2 Interactives MAX PAYNE, a gritty tale of cops, mobsters and revenge developed by Remedy, and classic racing game GRAN TURISMO 3 (Developer: Polyphony Digital; Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment Europe) won the award for Best Console Game. The winners of the 2001 BAFTA Interactive Entertainment Awards were announced on Thursday, October 25, 2001 at a gala ceremony held at Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London.
