Tintin Wins Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature

Steven Spielberg’s The Adventures of Tintin won the 2012 Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature at Sunday night’s Golden Globe Awards ceremony held in Los Angeles.

Steven Spielberg’s The Adventures of Tintin won the 2012 Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature at Sunday night’s Golden Globe Awards ceremony held in Los Angeles.

The Artist,  which led the feature film category nominations with six nominations, won Best Motion Picture Comedy or Musical as well as Best Original Score, while the film’s star, Jean Dujardin, received the award for Best Acting.

The Descendants, which had five nominations, won for Best Motion Picture Drama along with George Clooney’s win for Best Acting. The Help, which also received five nominations, brought in one win for Octavia Spencer for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture.

In the television categories, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Downton Abbey nabbed the Golden Globe for Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. Kate Winslet won for her performance in Mildred Pierce while Modern Family and Homeland each earned trophies for best television series comedy or musical and drama, respectively.
