Tickets on Sale for Annie Awards on February 7

The 31st Annual Annie Awards, celebrating the best in animation for 2003, are coming on Feb. 7, 2004 to the Alex Theatre (216 N. Brand Blvd.) in Glendale, California, and tickets are on sale now.

Presented by ASIFA-Hollywood, The International Animated Film Society, the Annie Awards begin with a champagne reception at 5:00 pm, followed by the awards ceremony at 7:00 pm hosted by Emmy- and Annie-nominated funnyman Steve Marmel. Other presenters will include noted voice actors such as the prolific Tom Kenny (voice of SpongeBob), Alexander Gould, voice of Nemo, Nancy Cartwright, voice of Bart Simpson, as well as animation greats Roy Disney, June Foray and surprise celebrity guest presenters. A post-show celebration immediately follows the awards show.

ASIFA is the French acronym for "Association Internationale du Film D'Animation," an organization founded in 1957 in France by a group of professional animators and chartered by UNESCO in 1960 to encourage the art of animation and further international understanding and goodwill through the animation medium. Today, there are ASIFA chapters in nearly 30 countries worldwide.
