Broadway Video Enterprises and GoodTimes Ent. have finalized an exclusive deal with Distant Horizon, acquiring worldwide television, merchandising, licensing (all categories) and home video rights to THUNDERFORCE, one of the hottest Taiwanese youth properties. This mystical martial arts franchise, to be renamed WULIN WARRIORS: LEGEND OF THE SEVEN STARS for the international and domestic market, will debut on the Cartoon Network in the U.S. this fall.
The action series with comedic flair (13x30) is to be produced by Larry Schwarzs Animation Collective, and will combine state-of-the-art puppetry and special effects with elements of anime and classic kung fu, in a saga which follows a group of proud warriors as they search for the legendary Seven Stars to restore order in the universe.
Both Broadway Video Enterprises and GoodTimes Ent. are actively seeking licensing partners to further extend a long-running franchise that has had enormous success in its home country. The franchise boasts more than 900 hours of TV programming, its own dedicated TV channel, more than 60 unique licensed products at retail in Asia and a blockbuster feature film.
