THQ Releases Spirit For The Holidays

Game publisher THQ Inc. has released two video games based on DreamWorks' animated feature SPIRIT: STALLION OF THE CIMARRON to coincide with the DVD release of the film, which is scheduled for November 19, 2002. "The movie SPIRIT: STALLION OF THE CIMARRON lends itself to tremendous crossover appeal with our Game Boy Advance and PC audience," stated Germaine Gioia, vice president, licensing, THQ. "Considering DreamWorks' track record combined with the timely DVD and home video release of the movie, we hope that both games will be breakout successes for THQ as well." SPIRIT: STALLION OF THE CIMARRONSEARCH FOR HOMELAND for Game Boy Advance is a mission-based adventure that transports players to the Old West. After a sudden thunderstorm scatters a herd of mustangs, the player controls either Little Creek or Little Brook, who must find and return the horses to their homeland. In SPIRIT: STALLION OF THE CIMARRONFOREVER FREE for PC, Spirit returns from gathering fruit for the herd only to find his horse companion Rain taken by rustlers and his herd missing, leaving his homeland deserted. Players assume the role of Spirit who must find a way to nurse Rain back to health while returning his herd to the homeland in five movie-inspired levels. Both games are rated "E" for Everyone.
