THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 3D has added more potential victims to its cast, reports Variety. Lionsgate has found its Leatherface in Dan Yeager. The original Leatherface, Gunnar Hansen, will be making a cameo, as well as the original's female star Marilyn Burns. Bill Mosely, who appeared in the 1983 sequel, also joins the cast alongside singer Trey Songz, Keram Malicki-Sanchez, Thom Barry and Paul Rae. They join Alexandra Daddario, Scott Eastwood and Tania Raymonde.
The new film picks up right after where the 1974 original left off. The story follows a young woman who goes to Texas to collect her inheritance from her estranged family. Strange is key to the estranged part.
John Luessenhop (TAKERS) is the director. Adam Marcus and Debra Sullivan penned the screenplay with a rewrite by Kirsten Elms and Luessenhop. Carl Mazzocone is the producer alongside exec producers Avi Lerner and Mark Burg.
Lionsgate will release in the States with Nu Image repping it worldwide. The film will hit theaters on Oct. 5, 2012.
Filming will begin in Shreveport, LA this month.
