MONTY PYTHON alum Terry Jones and singer Björk have joined the cast of the animated short film ANNA AND THE MOODS. The film is being developed at Icelandic toon factory CAOZ Ltd, which will screen a trailer at this years Cartoon Forum in Varese, Italy. The picture has already received script grants from the Icelandic Film Centre and will receive Icelandic theater, home entertainment and TV distribution through Northern Lights Communications. The half-hour 3D film is scheduled to debut in Iceland theaters at year-end 2004.

Terry Jones will narrate film with Björk voicing the title character, Anna. This film will be the first acting work for the elfin singer since her award-winning turn in Lars von Triers DANCER IN THE DARK, which, after completing, she vowed never to act again. Unlike the demanding emotional toll that DANCER took on the singer, she may have chosen this project because it will be less demanding, and its a production from her homeland. The story follows Anna, a normal happy child who one day wakes up transformed into a sad teenage version of Marilyn Manson.

Gunnar Karlsson is directing the film, which is based on a script by Sjón, an Academy Award-nominated writer, who will lend his voice to the mad scientist Dr. Artmann. Hilmar Sigurdsson will serve as exec producer. Music is composed by Julian Nott and performed by the Brodsky Quartet.
