FOX is going to GLEE route with sci-fi series TERRA NOVA. The New York Post reports that the network will debut the two-hour pilot episode in May before the series launches in the fall. This early sneak peek was done with GLEE, which built great anticipation for the series.

Set in 2149, the Earth is on the brink of destruction. Humans are sent back to prehistoric times to restart civilization on the right path. The series follows a new family sent to live in the colony named Terra Nova.

The series is an expensive one with the pilot costing $14 million and each following episode costing $4 million.

Steven Spielberg is the exec producer.
