Press Release from Yowza

Yowza announced its collaboration with Canadian publisher OwlKids and CBC Television for development of the preschool television series Chirp. The series is based on the iconic Chirp magazine and brings the mixed media brand into television and digital media. Yowza’s Head of Business Development, Heather Walker, says “Chirp magazine is an important entry for young children into reading, learning and interactive fun. We strongly believe in the value of the brand and are very excited to be working closely with Kim Wilson and her CBC team to carefully guide Chirp and his friends into all cross media.”

“We’re grateful to have found like-minded partners in CBC and Yowza” says OwlKids Group Publisher Jennifer Canham. “Both teams respect Chirp and have a vision that will allow Chirp to delight even wider audiences.”

The Yowza team, with creative lead Dave Thomas, is also working closely with Moonray Studios Dan Clark to develop a comprehensive and innovative interactive Chirp experience including apps, games and much more.
