VTV:Varsity Television, the recently launched 24-hour network exclusively dedicated to teenagers, has announced its spring 2003 programming lineup. VTV aims to fill the gap in youth programming between Nickelodeon (kids 3 to 12) and MTV (adults 18 to 34) by delivering a wide variety of original programming that is compelling and relevant to today's teens. The VTV animation highlights include LARRY LABRAT, a 3D animated show set inside a commercial scientific research facility, and AGRIPPINE, a series that follows 16 year-old "teen queen" Agrippine as she copes with the trials and tribulations of teen life. LARRY LABRAT comes to VTV from Australia's MMI Entertainment, in co-production with Ratatouille Productions, and is one of the most-watched series on Vivendi Universal's streaming Website MP4.com. AGRIPPINE is produced by Ellipse Anime in France and first appeared on television in the '80s. It is dubbed in English. In addition to these series, VTV will also be showcasing original animated films and videos created by teenagers during its ANIMATION NATION segment.
