TV producer Reveille has inked a first-look deal with Mechem Media to produce family-friendly animated programming, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. Mechem Media is run by former CEO of previous Hanna-Barbera owner Taft Broadcasting Charles Mechem Jr. and Joe Barbera's son Neal, who serves as senior writer-producer.

The first production will be THE GLOOMERS, which follows the world's unluckiest family who lives next door the world's luckiest family. The productions will be in the vein of Hanna-Barbera shows like THE FLINTSTONES and SCOOBY-DOO.

Reveille produces such shows as THE BIGGEST LOSER, MASTERCHEF, GIGANTIC and THE OFFICE.
