TV-Loonland Reboots MIP-TV 2002
Kids animation producer-distributor TV-Loonland will present a new slate of animation programming at MIP-TV 2002. Leading the Loonland catalogue is the launch of REBOOT - SEASON IV. Animated by Mainframe Entertainment, Inc. REBOOT was the first ever half-hour computer animated TV series produced. Originally seen on North American television in September 1994 on YTV (Canada) and on ABC Television (USA), the series remains one of YTV's top-rated programs and can be seen in the daily Toonami block on the Cartoon Network. REBOOT - SEASON IV (2 x 2 hours or 8 x 30 minutes) has been formulated in feature film format so for the first time buyers will have the choice between standard movie length or half-hour episodes for broadcast. TV-Loonland holds the European TV and video rights to REBOOT - SEASON IV as well as the European TV rights to the first three seasons of REBOOT. Loonland will also be presenting their animated sitcom PONGWIFFY (26 x 11 minutes or 13 x 22 minutes) and the series SOMETHING ELSE (26 x 11 min), a co-production between the German-based broadcaster ZDF and TV-Loonland, who have also secured a studio co-production deal with Vancouver-based Studio B Productions. TV-Loonland holds the worldwide rights to PONGWIFFY, and the worldwide rights to SOMETHING ELSE outside of the German-speaking territories and Canada. Loonland subsidiary Salsa Entertainment will handle distribution of both series throughout Latin America.
